Stuck

I was intrigued by this leaf stuck in the lattice of my daughter’s patio table. It’s an in-between kind of stuck. Neither here nor there. It’s clearly no longer green and attached to a tree. So it is no longer part of feeding the tree and refreshing the air. It’s also not made it to the ground where it would be involved in (eventually) creating compost and feeding the earthworms and the plants.

It’s just stuck – caught on the journey, unable to move forward.

If I flick it or retrieve it and toss it, it can then continue on its journey.

Thankfully, when I am stuck in my journey, God helps me move on. At some point. Sometimes I have to be still and wait, but always I have to trust Him.
