Even In…

Even in death God’s handiwork is visible. This has been a rather long month already – maybe about a trillion light years although I recognize that is a measurement of distance rather than time. But so much is blurry and fuzzy and who the heck knows right now, and to be honest when they added “irregardless” to the dictionary, I kinda figured everything else was on the table too.

But when I walk through the knee-high leaves and observe all the colors of the trees and grasses and other plants, I am stunned at the many ways nature celebrates life in dying. The intricate patterns that are invisible during the life of leaves and the vibrant colors that are shrouds are amazing. God does very fine work from beginning to end.

And just in case you wonder, we have some people in our neighborhood who are seriously lax in taking care of their yards. It’s us. Our yard has knee-high leaves in it.
