One morning I noticed the odd lighting in our patio lamp. It looked as if fire were actually trying to escape from inside it.
Reality? It was the reflection of a gorgeous sunrise.

There was certainly a brilliance in the sky that created wonder and amazement beyond what was going on with the lamp. Too often I find myself caught by the reflection and not seeking the source. The reflection is good and beautiful but it’s not the reason why something is seen or occurs.
As much as I want others to see Jesus in my life, it is much more critical they then look for Jesus himself. I can be a signpost or a lamp but I’m not the Fire.
Seek Him.
