This past week, our Life Group at church was talking about the Bible verses around treasure in heaven. Part of that conversation became what exactly is treasure in heaven, which quickly became a comparator discussion. As in, I’ll never have as much treasure in heaven as, say, someone like Billy Graham or Martin Luther or Paul. And just how big are THEIR rooms going to be?
Isn’t it funny how the drive to accumulate, to have the most toys, to somehow win, can taint even our view of heaven?
I’m not sure what treasures will be in heaven or how we get them or what we do with them when we are there. But I rather do believe our time there will be spent in unending delight at being in the Lord God’s Presence regardless of whatever treasure might be stored there for us.
