Father’s Hands

We had a fabulous week last week with kids and grandkids from across the United States coming together. We laughed and played and ate lots of chips and salsa and swam. On one day one family rented a boat to share with the others.

As often happens, kids want to be like their parents and driving the boat was no exception. As our grandson sat on his dad’s lap and “drove”, his dad made sure the rest of us were safe from the whims of our grandson by placing his hands above. Our grandson was perfectly happy to allow his dad to “help” him.

Too often, I am not at all willing to allow my Father’s hands to come anywhere near what I am doing let alone have control. Yet my Father knows what is best for me (and for the others around me!).

Steering in the shadow of The Most High is a better option.
