Psalm 76 starts by proclaiming “God is renowned in Judah; in Israel His Name is great.” There is a “Ta-Da” about that opening verse that is easy to skip over in looking for the essence, the meat, of the Psalm.

But I believe a pause and a reflection is critical. Can this be said about my country, my city, my neighborhood, my family, my life? Is God renowned, is His Name great?

Are the everyday blessings and miracles around me and in me credited to my Creator and my Redeemer, or just glossed over on the urgent and the now?

Father cause us to pause and rejoice, to glorify You, to honor You, in all aspects of our life from sunrise to sunset.
