I don’t know about other homes and families but in mine everyone assumes they should ask me just any random question. Surely I will know! Or maybe they are trying to subtly tell me I’m not as smart as I think I am. Not really sure here but I digress.
The reality is that I google it. And sometimes I use the Google search engine and sometimes I use a different one but we have reached a point where Google and Kleenex have both gained generic status.
Occasionally I actually know the answer, because I have the gift of reading. And questioning and curiosity. I do wonder what people do when no one is around to ask. I know what I do but apparently I’m in a pretty negligible group of n.
What about when we are faced with any relationship issue, problem, or situation in life? Where do we turn for advice, answers, and guidelines? One of the drawbacks of turning to a search engine or other collections of information, is they rarely have any validation of what they offer. Many of them are here today and gone tomorrow, or at least drastically changed.
Our first source, especially with relationship and life behavior questions, should be our Bible. It has every kind of relationship issue you can imagine from murdering a lover’s husband to betraying your friends to leading a nation. The more time we actually spend reading the Bible, the better equipped we will be.
Just ask your mom. She’ll confirm that.
