When I lose my way,
And I forget my name
Remind me who I am – Jason Gray
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. – Romans 12:12
There is a constancy to remembering who we are – Whose we are. Romans 12:12 helps us maintain that constancy in some unique ways.
Be joyful in hope…the assurance of Your love, Your peace, Your hand in my life – that is a hope worth celebrating, worth being joyful over. Hope in this sense has nothing to do with ponies for Christmas but rather guarantees.
…patient in affliction…we WILL have trouble in this world but something better is coming. Everything passes, all here is temporary. Like Kansas weather, it will change.
…faithful in prayer. Staying close to You, ongoing conversation!
Remind me.
