Last weekend, my husband and I went to Zion National Park. Wow! Just wow!
Many of the animals have become accustomed to having lots of people around and are a bit bold to be honest. Talk about sassy squirrels! Who, according to the signs on the back of the shuttle buses, also bite.
Not all of the animals were as brazen. Some stood in semi-hiding and finished breakfast – like the deer in the picture above. We were good as long as we didn’t get too close or move too fast.
Others were TOTALLY skittish. The lizards fled immediately. Getting a picture of one of them was quite a trick.
Each animal required a different approach – except of course the squirrels who required chasing off. Each had a different tolerance level for those who approached where they were. Not dissimilar to how we as God’s representatives need to understand how to approach those still of this world and invite them to the table of God.
