Be there when God whispers your name. – Max Lucado

One approach counseled for getting someone’s attention is to talk softly or whisper. If someone is whispering, you have to focus and push aside everything else. This works with both screaming toddlers and screaming adults.

However, it only works if you are close to the person. For those of us who are hearing challenged, we also need to be able to see the face of the whisperer.

And no one announces, “I’m going to whisper now, so come close and pay attention.” You must already be close. There is also a certain intimacy that whispering can create: “this is only for you.”

I want to stay close to Father God and keep my focus on Him, so I don’t miss when He whispers my name.
