Often God is viewed as somber, angry, and judgmental. I firmly believe, based on how some of my prayers are answered, that God actually has a huge sense of humor. I certainly hope so, because sometimes my reaction to theologically sound exhortations is, well, irreverent at best.
Case in point. A.W. Tozer is one of my favorite “deep thinkers”. I follow social media forums that post wise words he wrote about faith. This week, the following was posted on the A.W. Tozer social media accounts:

I agree with this statement completely. My initial response:
My second response:
Irreverent? Quite probably. Does God have a huge sense of humor? I pray so!
When I think about it though, it does raise the question: how does anyone KNOW I’m a Christian? In many faiths, there is a visible symbol of belonging or adherence: the Jewish yarmulke, the head scarf of Muslim women, clothing “signals” of other faiths. For Christians occasionally the wearing of a cross or crucifix or putting an ichthys on the back of your car is adopted. The old song about “they’ll know we are Christians by our love” doesn’t seem particularly distinguishing.
Not sure silly walking is the answer. But it sure would be visible.
