Living in a “snow-ish but yes to ice” state makes one really appreciate gifts of warmth. Recently a friend gave me a new pair of gloves. They were called “running gloves” which made me question not only how well she actually knew me but whether I wanted any more gifts from her!
They are really nice and they also have the digital touch fabric on two of the fingers so you can also talk on your phone or adjust the volume of your music while you run. Again, that won’t be happening when I wear these gloves. Just so we are clear.
They protect me from the cold even when I need to reach out or electronically interact with someone. I can be in the cold but not vulnerable to the cold.
Kind of what prayer and the Holy Spirit do for me as I am in the world.
